Lowrey graduated from Palmetto High School in 1988. By 1989, he had been accepted into the Miami Police Academy. Captain Conrad Howard later recruited him out of the academy to infiltrate the Aretas drug cartel.
While deep undercover, Lowrey had an affair with the cartel’s leader’s wife, Isabel Aretas, which resulted in the birth of their son, Armando Aretas, whom Mike would later meet.
Despite promising to flee with Isabel, Lowrey had her arrested, as did her husband, who knew how dangerous she was. He then became a narcotics officer, and his first partner, Marcus Burnett, became his best friend and brother figure.
Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are first seen in Mike’s new 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo in 1995.
Marcus is eating fries and a cheeseburger, while Mike is not.
Marcus attempts to place the coffee in a cup holder, but Mike informs him that his vehicle lacks a cup holder.
Marcus complains that Mike’s car is too expensive and lacks cup holders and rear seats. Mike responds that it is one of the fastest cars on the planet, is a limited series, and is more expensive than Marcus believes.
Marcus inadvertently spills fries on his floor, enrages Mike, and parks his car. He argues with him and orders him to pick up the chips, but Marcus tells him he can’t because he can’t put his hand in there. They continue to argue, and Mike notices a girl crossing the street.
Suddenly, two men try to steal their car. During the attempt, Mike informs them that they are cops, and he and Marcus get into another argument, much to the chagrin of the thieves. This, however, turns out to be a ruse, and the two apprehend the car thieves. The Heroin Syndicate
Marcus wakes up with his wife Theresa and has breakfast with his children the next day.
Mike appears unexpectedly, saying, “Uncle Mike is here,” greets his partner, and kisses his daughter and Theresa, much to her chagrin, because who knows what Mike kissed tonight?
When Quincy asks Mike if he had a date tonight, Mike says yes and begins to tell him about her, until Theresa tells him that she does not want him to tell his sex stories to her son and not to Marcus.
He claims that he also informs them.
When the phone rings, Theresa answers it and hands it to Mike, who says, “Here is the incredible Mike.”
Conrad Howard, their captain, directs him and Marcus to report to the police station immediately.
“I think what you mean is: “move your ass up here please, captain,” Mike says, but Conrad hangs up the phone in his face, and the detective says, “Perhaps not.”
Marcus and Mike arrive at the police station, and upon entering, their partner Francine informs them of Howard’s location.
Mike and Marcus meet him and show him that they have stolen $ 100 million in heroin from a secure police vault seized by the mob.
Mike claims the money was present and agrees with Marcus that this is a bad situation.
Alison Sinclair, the captain of the Department of Internal Affairs, appears at that point, and it is revealed that she and Captain Howard do not get along.
Marcus suggests that he and Mike leave if they are to put together the personal plan.
But Sinclair says it’s not personal; she’s just doing her job and knows that if there’s a leak, it’ll spark a media frenzy, but Howard says they’ll get the drug back in time.
Alison suggests looking into the narcotics department because it was most likely an inside job.
She sets out to find out and then departs, informing two other detectives, Sanchez and Ruiz, that they are running late. Mike and Marcus noticed the air intake and deduced that it was installed to prevent toxic fumes.
Until Conrad arrives, Mike and Marcus begin arguing with Sanchez and Ruiz.
Despite the objections of the four detectives, the captain tells Mike and Marcus that this was their case and that it will be again, and he assigns Sanchez and Ruiz to assist them.
When Ruiz suggests that it could have been the capo’s men who seized the heroin, the captain dismisses the suggestion but orders that they investigate him to be sure.
Mike, Marcus, Sanchez, and Ruiz fight once more until Conrad separates them and informs them that they have nothing.
The captain assigns Sanchez and Ruiz to investigate who installed the ventilation system and Mike and Marcus to investigate who stole the drug, telling the latter that they have three days before the politicians blame them for the robbery and that they must work harder than ever.
Mike and Marcus question a suspect named Joe amicably, but they get nothing out of him.
Mike and Marcus visit a boxing gym and discuss whether he can assist them.
Mike approaches his informant and ex-girlfriend Maxine (Max) Logan and requests to speak privately; she suggests going to the material room.
While there, Mike informs her that he requires assistance, and Max inquires as to what has changed.
Mike explains what happened at the police station and what can happen if heroin is sold. Max asks what he needs, and Mike tells him to look for people who are nouveau riche because they will be suspicious, and to call him if he finds out anything.
Max agrees and walks away, flirtatiously. Mike notices Marcus hitting the punching bag and tells him that he has a lot of energy because he doesn’t have sex with his wife, and the two return to the police station.
Mike approaches Francine, who provides them with the name and address of the man who installed the air conditioning (this was discovered by Sanchez and Ruiz).
Mike and Marcus arrive at his mansion, but no one opens the door for them, so they decide to peer through the windows, and Mike “accidentally” trips and opens the door.
When the couple enters and asks if there is anyone there, Mike and Marcus notice a foul odor and realize there is a corpse in the house.
The couple discovers the body of the man who installed the ventilation system.
Mike speculates on what must have occurred: he sold the ventilation plans to the criminals, became wealthy, and was murdered to tie up any loose ends.
Marcus isn’t feeling well after discovering the body, so Mike invites him to come over and examine it.
His partner informs him that he is feeling this way because of the smell, and the two begin to collect everything in the vicinity of the deceased.
When Mike discovers a notebook in which the technician has written down all of his debts, he deduces that the technician enjoyed gambling and must have needed the money to pay off his debts.
Mike shakes the chair slightly, and the leg moves, startling Marcus, who is hiding beneath the table where the body is.
Marcus instructs him to be more cautious, and Mike apologizes. Marcus orders a homicide investigation, and Mike discovers the knife that killed the body technician. Marcus walks out of the living room, feeling ill, and Mike suggests he go get some burritos.
Marcus is the driver of his car, and Mike is his co-driver.
Marcus claims that finding the drug will be impossible, but Mike claims that if they found it once, they will find it again and tells him that he must have faith.
Marcus claims that when they find out what happened, everyone in the drug unit will be out of work and that everyone believes Mike Lowrey will be out of work because they believe he is a rich kid who plays a cop.
Marcus also explains that he needs the job and that he does not come from a wealthy family like the rest of his department.
Mike is irritated by this remark and responds that he does not play cop, that it is not his fault that his family has left him money, and that he has always wanted to be a police officer.
Mike also claims that he gets up every day to prepare, that he is the first to walk through the door and the last to leave the crime scene, and that anyone who disagrees with him goes to hell.
Marcus tells Mike that he loves him and that he is his colleague, but Mike tells him to leave him and that he drives very slowly, like a turtle. But Marcus claims that he is not a turtle, but rather a “bad boy,” and Mike and Marcus begin to sing “bad boys” at that point.
Eddie Dominguez, a corrupt ex-cop and member of the coup, hires Max and his best friend Julie Mott as escorts.
The party is soon cut short by Dominguez’s French drug kingpin boss, Lord Fouchet, and his henchmen Casper, Ferguson, and Noah, who don’t want the coup to be jeopardized by outsiders who don’t know anything about the deal.
As a result, Fouchet shoots Max and Ferguson murders Domnguez. Julie escapes through the roof after witnessing the murder. One of Fouchet’s men dispatches the madam who hired Julie and Max.
When Mike and Marcus arrive, the police have cordoned off the mansion, and Captain Howard asks them if they recognize Dominguez and informs them that there is still some of the stolen heroin on the table.
Mike notices two lipstick marks on the glass and deduces that someone must have escaped and is still alive.
Captain Howard informs everyone that finding that person is their top priority.
Marcus approaches to see who the deceased woman is and is shocked to see that it is Maxine; Mike also approaches and is saddened to see her. Marcus tries to console Mike, telling him that they will find the witness and kill those responsible. Mike departs and informs Marcus that eight calls were made to Lois Fields, for whom Max used to work, to check. Mike prefers to travel alone and departs. Mike arrives at Lois Fields’ mansion and requests assistance. He grabs his flashlight and begins inspecting the mansion until he is attacked and thrown out a window.
Mike arrives at the police station the next morning, and when Marcus sees him, he asks why he isn’t returning his calls and that they are in a situation that he should be aware of. Mike informs Marcus that he has a deceased lady, a massive brain bump, and severe headaches. Marcus begins to explain what happened last night, but Mike tells him that she appears to be a critical wife and departs for the police station.
Marcus tries to tell Mike what happened last night as they walk through the police station, but he ignores him.
Unbeknownst to Mike, last night Julie called the police and stated that she would only speak to Mike, and Howard forces Marcus to impersonate Mike for Julie to cooperate.
Marcus convinces Julie that he is Mike Lowrey, and the two of them escape from Julie’s apartment after a shooting in which Marcus kills Raji, one of Fouchet’s cronies.
They arrive at a basketball practice facility and meet Capital Howard.
When Conrad sees them, he becomes enraged and orders them to find the drug. Marcus tells him that his situation with Julie is out of control, but the captain misinterprets him because of the drug.
Mike informs him that he has not murdered anyone today.
Captain Howard states that the witness is his only piece of good news and instructs Marcus to continue posing as Mike because Julie believes in him.
Mike inquires as to what is going on, and when no one responds, he orders them to pay attention to him.
Marcus informs them that Julie is in Mike’s apartment; Conrad is upset with Marcus for abandoning the witness, and Mike is upset because Marcus has left a stranger in his apartment.
Marcus defends himself by saying he had to hide her and his dogs, which enrages Mike, who sarcastically asks him to bring chimps and have a carnival.
The couple fights until Conrad orders them to stop and tells them that Marcus will continue to be Mike Lowrey and Mike will continue to be himself, but not in front of the witness.
Mike inquires about the homeless man, but when he realizes Marcus must be with his family, Mike decides to stay with Theresa and the children.
Marcus doubts Mike’s ability to care for his family, but the latter defends himself by claiming that he only has to satisfy one woman.
Mike grabs a basketball and makes a triple hit before leaving, which irritates Conrad.
Marcus informs Theresa that he is going to Cleveland for another drug case, which enrages her and prompts her to question why Mike, who is also at the house, cannot accompany him.
Mike expresses his desire to accompany Theresa, but Captain Howard refuses because he is irresponsible, a “loose cannon,” and frequently shoots in public, sometimes without provocation.
Marcus requests that Mike respect Theresa’s privacy, and he and his partner pretend to leave, but Mike remains and hears Theresa say that he can handle it and that he doesn’t need Mike to stay home, but Marcus insists that he is concerned and that Mike stay to care for her and the children until he returns.
Theresa does not believe Mike is capable of doing a father’s chores, and Mike claims to have read a book that could assist them.
Marcus tells Mike to go get a Coke, and Mike pretends to leave again, this time asking if they want anything.
Marcus requests that he bring him a Coke, Theresa declines, and Mike departs this time.
That night, Mike is telling Marcus’s children about how they got the drug they had stolen from the department, complete with violent details.
Mike meets with Marcus in the morning, who is fed up with Julie and wants his life back. Mike complains that living in Marcus’ “zoo” is making his life more difficult. Marcus begins to fight Mike, but he ignores him until he notices Marcus is wearing his silk shirt. Marcus begins to foolishly imitate Mike and informs him that he requires the services of a doctor. Francine appears and presents Mike Juliet’s business card. Mike instructs Marcus to check the file, which he must call the “relative.” Sanchez and Ruiz arrive and tease Marcus, while Mike calls Theresa and she tells him what to buy, and the two start talking about Megan and how Theresa won’t wait for Mike up when he returns at night before she hangs up. Mike, noticing Marcus’s nervousness, pulls a prank on him by telling him to rent a movie and asking “her” what she’s wearing. Marcus takes Mike’s phone and speaks for him, but Mike tells him it was all a joke. Marcus warns Mike not to make such a joke, and Mike tells him not to put on his clothes.
Mike and Francine attempt to hack into Eddie Dominguez’s account, but he is unable to locate the password. Francis reminds Mike that this is illegal after three attempts, and he tells her that it has never stopped her. Mike departs, telling Francine that if he is successful, she should let him know.
Mike and Marcus go to Mike’s apartment to speak with Julie. Mike tells Marcus that he should be able to access Dominguez’s file, but Marcus says it will take a few days, which Mike says they don’t have. They argue for a while until they hear Julie’s voice. She meets Marcus (Mike), and the two exchange greetings.
Julie tells him she recognized him from photos Mike (Marcus) has of him. She informs “Marcus” that he must be an excellent partner and that she and “Mike” are going to a club tonight. “Mike,” says he and “Marcus” will go, which enrages Julie and implies that she will be alone once more, with only the goalkeeper to protect her.
When “Marcus,” notices that one of the dogs has urinated on “Mike’s” carpet, she apologizes vaguely and says she offered “Mike” to pay for the dry cleaning, but he declined. “Mike,” says he considered throwing the carpet, and “Marcus,” tells Julie that he is a special guy because he starts laughing at what happened and says he would be angry if it had happened to him. Later, “Marcus,” notices another of his dogs, Luke, strolling across the sofa and joins him.
Julie asks “Marcus” if he wants to meet Duckie, his other dog, who is in bed with diarrhea and vomiting all morning. “Marcus” smiles and says they are going to check on Duckie and tells “Mike” that they will speak after this. “Marcus” appears after “Mike” has kicked out his partner’s masseuse, Yvette. Marcus explains it to Mike in private, and Mike asks Marcus if he fired her and informs Marcus that Yvette is a masseur. Julie inquires whether another half-naked woman will appear on the floor during the night. “Marcus” begins to berate “Mike” for everything he has indirectly done in his apartment. “Mike” declares that he and “Marcus” will go to the club tonight, yes or no.
Tonight, Mike and Marcus arrive at Club Hell, and the latter insists on doing everything the captain tells them to avoid being shot or killed because he doesn’t want to lose his job. Mike reminds him that he was the one who killed the last bad guys and instructs him to kill them again once they have the information they require. Marcus recalls Mike killing more bad guys and Mike saying enough, Noah’s parole card stating that he is inside the club and that they come in to finish this. When the couple walks in, they are greeted by a slew of half-naked women, which causes Mike to become distracted. Marcus reminds him of their responsibilities at the club, and Mike tells him to break up and meet at the bar in 10 minutes.
Mike is staring at a girl and is unaware that Casper is attacking Marcus until they smash a club aquarium. Marcus reunites with Mike after defeating Casper, and the latter inquires as to who beat him up this time. Marcus informs him that they are aware of his presence and that he should immediately pursue Noah. While searching, Mike notices Julie pointing a gun at the mob boss; he intervenes, and the three flee Club Hell in a van obtained by Mike by threatening the driver.
“Mike” drives the van to escape while “Marcus,” asks Julie why she did that, to which she responds that she would have hit him full force if she hadn’t stopped him, and “Marcus,” tells Julie that this is a matter for the police and that he did not have to be there, then he tells “Mike” to drive faster, to which the latter responds that it is his fault for choosing a van that also smelled strange. Julie discovers a flammable substance in the trunk. Noah pursues them from behind and shoots them in a car driven by an unidentified henchman. Mike shoots through an open window. Marcus and his henchman narrowly avoid being hit by a truck.
Marcus enters a closed bridge while Noah pursues him. Mike and Marcus fight because Mike has chosen an explosive ether van for the escape and Marcus has entered where he should not. Marcus tells his partner to come up with something, and Mike, seeing the explosive ether barrels in the truck again, throws some barrels at Noah’s car and shoots them just as Marcus reaches the end of the cut bridge. Marcus brakes before crashing, and Noah and the henchman’s car catches fire from the explosion of some barrels, eventually exploding and killing Noah and the henchman.
Marcus complains about having lost his only clue to the drug, but Julie corrects him, saying that they have lost their only clue to Maxine’s killer. Julie attempts to flee after a fight with “Mike,” but “Marcus” stops her and assures her that the most important thing for “Mike” is to find Max’s killer, admitting that it is sometimes difficult for her to express her feelings and convincing her to stay with them because they are a team.
Mike, Marcus, and Julie go shopping for shampoo for Julie. Marcus insists on the witness taking the shampoo and departing. Mike suggests speaking with Jojo because there is far too much heroin and ether for anyone to know what is going on. Julie inquires as to what he is referring to, and Mike and Marcus explain that the drug traffickers intended to use the ether that he exploded to treat heroin.
Mike claims they do it to save money and quadruple the value, and Marcus concurs. They go to pay for the shampoo, but Mike can’t find his wallet, and the clerk, seeing that he has bullets and a gun, pulls out a gun and threatens them. He believes they have come to rob him because he overheard the entire conversation, and Mike tries to persuade him that they are police officers and shows him his badge.
The clerk shows him a bunch of plates, and Mike and Marcus start arguing with Julie, who tries to separate them. Eventually, Julie leaves, and when the clerk points her at her, Mike and Marcus stop the charade and draw their guns. Mike requests a box of gum, while Marcus requests some gummies. Later, Mike goes to Marcus’ house, while Marcus and Julie go to Mike’s apartment.
When Marcus calls, Mike and Theresa are looking through photos of his family. Mike and Theresa have a playful conversation about a photo Mike took from the album, and then Theresa takes it from him to put it back, saying Marcus will be angry if he finds out. Marcus overhears the conversation, misinterprets it, hangs up the phone, and rides home in Mike’s car with Julie. Mike calls Sanchez to report seeing a blue car with two suspicious occupants who may be breaking into an apartment.
Mike and Theresa hear a huge scandal outside and look out the upstairs window to see who is to blame. They are unaware that Marcus caused the scandal by climbing out of the house until he reached the top window, but the balcony where the plants are breaks and Marcus falls into the trash. Marcus and Theresa are not aware of his presence, and the detective directs him to go get the children.
Mike finds Marcus but does not recognize him; he threatens him with his pistol and pounces on him when he sees him “trying to escape.” Mike and Marcus fight until Mike recognizes Marcus, but Marcus still attacks Mike for screwing Theresa. Marcus throws them into a kiddie pool after Mike tells him he hasn’t done that. Mike, after calming down, tells Marcus that this exchange of lives is driving him insane and that he has not fucked Theresa, his partner, and colleague for 6 years, and would never do so to him.
When Theresa calls Mike, he sticks Marcus’s head into the pool (which is still full of water) and tells her that he’s fine. Mike tells Marcus to leave and asks where Julie is, to which he replies that she is handcuffed in his car. When Mike asks if he wants to destroy the case, Marcus admits that everything is his fault and apologizes, and Mike tells him to leave. Marcus walks away.
Mike, Sanchez, and Ruiz are questioning a suspect the next morning, and he tells them he only knows his name: Fouchet. He claims it was only an errand and that guarding the house was his first job. Meanwhile, Captain Howard and Captain Alison Sinclair are arguing in Howard’s office about the recent events surrounding the heroin case. Sinclair leaves Howard’s office, warning him that he will be removed from the case soon, and Conrad protests that she has no authority to do so and orders him to stay away from him until he has it. Mike overhears the conversation and suggests that the two captains go out together and put an end to their rivalry right away.
Marcus arrives at Jojo’s store (having left Julie handcuffed in the car), and when he sees him, he flees, and Marcus pursues him. Mike apprehends Jojo, and the two question him. They play a good cop-bad cop act, with Marcus approaching Jojo and asking for information, but Jojo insists he doesn’t know anything. Marcus continues to request it, while Jojo insists that he is clean. Mike walks into the “interrogation room,” grabs Jojo, and points a gun at him, fed up with wasting time. Jojo tells them that they are cops and should not act like that.
Marcus also complains, but Mike says that this is his thing and threatens him, saying that he has 15 bullets in his gun that he will use against him if he does not speak up now. When Marcus complains, Mike points another gun at him. Marcus pretends to leave, leaving Jojo on her own. With Marcus yelling on the other side of the wall, Jojo tells Mike that he will tell him everything he wants to know.
He informs Mike that he has the address of the chemist who is cutting the stolen drugs and requests that the guns be removed from his face. Mike does it and tells him to bring the address, after which he goes to look for it. Marcus tells Mike that he thought he was going to shoot him for a moment, and Mike declares that he was going to do it.
Tonight, Mike, Marcus, and Julie go to the chemist’s house and wait for him to leave before taking them to the drugs. The three of them become bored and decide to stay up all night. Marcus wakes Mike and Julie up in the morning and informs them that the chemist is on his way out, and Mike follows him. He takes them to a freighter in the harbor, and after looking through binoculars, Marcus asks Mike how their chances are, and Mike tells him that they are worse than at Club Hell.
Marcus attempts to call for assistance, but Mike reminds him that Sinclair has tapped all of the police station’s phones, and they must comply. Julie steps out of the car and takes a look through the binoculars. Marcus refuses, claiming that these are not Charlie’s angels, but Mike assures him that a glance won’t hurt and hands him his binoculars. Fouchet, unbeknownst to the three of them, has also seen them through their binoculars and orders his men to follow them. Marcus’ children see their father and Mike on TV when they hear about the car that Mike blew up with the ether barrels. They inform their mother, and Theresa warns her children that Marcus wishes he was in Cleveland and is going to Mike’s apartment.
Mike and Marcus prepare to pursue Fouchet, telling Julie that everything will be over when they return. Julie answers the door when it rings. She opens the door and discovers Theresa. When Julie asks if she can assist her, she responds, “Yes, I am here to murder my husband, Marcus Burnett.” Julie inquires as to whether the person in question is tall or short. Theresa responds that it is the shorter one, confirming Julie’s suspicions that they have been impersonating each other. Marcus tries to keep the charade going when he sees Theresa and goes to find Mike. “Marcus, come here,” she says, and he tries to explain it to the two, but Julie leaves, and Theresa tells him that they are going to separate just as Mike arrives. Theresa walks away, and Mike pursues her to stop her, while Marcus attempts to apologize to Theresa. Mike apologizes in the elevator, but Julie tells him it doesn’t matter and that if Theresa has found them, she’s better off alone. Mike asks Julie to stop and talk when they arrive in the lobby, but she refuses and prepares to leave.
Marcus tries to stop Theresa from going out another door. Fouchet and his two thugs break into the apartment and start shooting at Mike and Marcus. Julie collapses, Mike pulls out his gun and shoots them, and Marcus hides Theresa. The bad guys kidnap Julie after a hail of gunfire. Mike instructs the manager to contact the police. This one is correct. Mike storms out of the hotel and pursues them, even if they are in a car.
When Fouchet’s car collides with another vehicle, he gets out and runs into another hotel with Julie and her two thugs, while Mike pursues them. They arrive at a beauty salon during the chase, and as they leave, one of Fouchey’s henchmen shoots inside, forcing Mike to fall to the ground. The bad guys rob a taxi, but Marcus appears out of nowhere and jumps onto the roof of the taxi. To get Marcus off him, the driver crashes into a car. Mike arrives just in time to save Marcus from being hit by a car. However, the bad guys escape.
Mike and Marcus arrive at the police station and tell Captain Howard what happened. Conrad complains that they always deliver both good and bad news to her at the same time. Mike answers the phone when it rings. Fouchet calls Mike and tells him to keep Julie until he finishes his business, reveals that he killed the chemist, and threatens to kill Julie if they break their agreement.
Mike, enraged, drops the phone and walks into Conrad’s office, telling him and Marcus that Fouchet has murdered one of his employees and that if they don’t leave him alone, he will kill Julie. Captain Howard tells them they can’t say anything, and then Captain Alison Sinclair enters, reminding Conrad of what happened and showing him the authorization to reassign the case and close Mike and Marcus’ apartment. As Sinclair walks away, Captain Howard warns Mike and Marcus that no matter what Sinclair says, they will not back down from the case and will not allow Fouchet to kill Julie. Howard postpones the order, giving Mike and Marcus two hours and one final chance to save Julie and retrieve the drugs.
Mike and Marcus turn to a hacker named Fletcher for assistance in entering the profile of the Domnguez private police database. Mike asks him to hurry, but he tells them that it is not so simple, and when Marcus gets in with him, Fletcher tells him that they have put him in jail for this. Mike reassures him and asks him to continue. He is successful, and they discover that Francine is Domnguez’s ex-girlfriend. Mike looks at Francine.
In private, she tells Mike and Marcus that Eddie and Fouchet took naked photos of her on New Year’s Eve and threatened to hang them on the bulletin board at her daughter’s school unless she gave them drug information. She informs them that I never speak of them or Julie. Mike tells her that if they don’t find them, they’ll kill Julie, and he asks her how she can contact them. Francine informs him via cell phone and promises to reward Mike once all of this is over and he and Marcus are on their way. When Mike calls the drug dealers, the police can track them down no matter where they go. Mike and Marcus leave now that they know where they are, and when they leave the police station, they meet Sanchez and Ruiz and ask for their assistance in solving the case.
Mike, Marcus, Sanchez, and Ruiz board a plane bound for Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. When Mike arrives, he informs him that the company will be located in the old hangar section. The four of them assess the situation, and Marcus declares that there is no time to wait for reinforcements and that they must go it alone. Mike doesn’t see any issues. Mike and Marcus prepare for the raid by opening the trunk of their car. After Ruiz and Mike tell him that his ideas always work, the four get into a garbage truck and attack him.
At Opa Locka airport, a final shootout breaks out between a group of police officers and drug dealers. Julie starts the car in which she is trapped, escapes, steals the key from the handcuffs so she does not have to be handcuffed all day, and causes an explosion by crashing it against the ether barrels.
While Mike, Marcus, Sanchez, and Ruiz continue to shoot and kill bad guys. Marcus rushes on Julie to save her, but Fouchet shoots Marcus in the leg. Mike is assaulted by a drug dealer, but he overcomes him. Casper grabs the suitcase containing the dead mobster’s money, runs to the plane, and begins shooting at Marcus.
Marcus, seeing some nearby ether barrels, pulls out his gun and mockingly tells an angry Casper, “You forgot your boarding pass,” and shoots the propane tank next to the plane, which explodes and sends a burning Casper flying towards the ground, killing him as well.
Mike notices Ferguson attempting to flee with the others; he spots a nearby cop and attempts to kill him in retaliation for ruining his drug business, but Mike ambushes him with a shotgun. Mike greets him and shoots him in the chest before he can react, sending Ferguson into an electrical fuse that electrocutes and incinerates him, killing him.
Mike notices Fouchet attempting to flee in his car and jumps behind it, grabbing Fouchet’s neck because the car is a convertible. Mike attempts to strangle him, but Fouchet grabs a pistol and shoots Mike in the shoulder, forcing him to exit his car.
Bad Boys II
Mike and Marcus were informed that Hector Tapia is selling and shipping drugs throughout Miami to countries such as Cuba.
Ku Klux Klan Drug Bust
Marcus and Mike infiltrated a Ku Klux Klan meeting where the ecstasy shipment was delivered. Members of the Ku Klux Klan yell “brown power” until Mike, who is removing his disguise, is discovered, followed by Marcus. Mike instructs the delivery man to leave the bags and informs his boss. Mike and Marcus begin singing “Bad Boys” until Mike stops and says to Marcus, “Dude, you have to learn the words,” to which Marcus responds, “It’s that ours is the chorus.” Mike tries to alert the “alpha chief,” but his headphones aren’t working due to interference, and he can’t communicate with his fellow officers.
Marcus is concerned and inquires about backup from Mike. One of the KKK members laughs, and Mike approaches him, at which point Marcus is kidnapped at gunpoint by another ruthless KKK member. Mike says they have a minor issue, and the member says he will not shoot, but Mike says he will “Simply because you’re going for his head. Do you think I’m not going to distribute your brains throughout the swamp?” Marcus says he believes so. “What you don’t realize is that my colleague has come here willing to die,” Mike says, but he declines. Marcus’ fear is mocked by the member. Mike insists that Marcus wants to die by charring the KKK members and tells him to let go of him and tell him who brings the drugs or he will be harshly punished.
Marcus attempts to defuse the situation, but Mike declares that he prefers to fuck the sons of bitches. Marcus claims they are aiming for his head, and the captor addresses him as Mike “n**ger,” which enrages him and makes him more willing to kill everyone, saying “Yes, I’m calm.” Very serene! Hey! Wow! Wow! This nonsense is far too unstable for me. Don’t move a muscle! Everyone, please be quiet!” After Marcus tells him to relax. Marcus notices Mike is insane and warns the member who is holding Marcus that he has 3 seconds to lower the gun. Behind Mike, a member prepares to shoot him, but Marcus warns him, and Mike kills both the member and Marcus’s captor. When the reinforcements hear the shots, they interpret it as a signal.
As reinforcements arrive, a shootout ensues. Some members are killed by Mike and Marcus, while others attempt to flee. Mike fires at some explosive barrels, causing an explosion that throws some members into the water as the cops arrive. When Mike sees a KKK member about to shoot Marcus, he jumps up and fires a stray bullet, which hits Marcus in the buttocks and kills that member.
While Mike is on the ground, a member attempts to murder him, but reinforcements arrive to save him and begin arresting KKK members and assisting the injured. The boss asks the couple if they are okay; Mike says yes, but Marcus says no because Mike shot him in the a$$, but Mike claims it wasn’t him and says, “I mean, I was filming. Yes, I took a lot of pictures, but I’m not saying I shot you in the a$$, and I’m not saying I didn’t shoot you… but, damn it! “Someone shot you in the a$$,” Marcus says.” When Mike asks how he’s feeling, Marcus says he’s burning and stinks of barbecued ass.
Marcus orders two police officers to leave after they make fun of his misfortune. The cops discover that the Klan’s surviving members are not drug dealers, but rather small-time buyers. Mike requests that he be allowed to care for his solplon. They complain that all of this has been for naught, and Mike orders them to direct traffic while he transports Marcus to a police helicopter to be cured.
Marcus returns in the helicopter to argue with Mike that his father did not leave him any inheritance and that he needs the police job. Mike is fed up with the debate and admits to shooting him in the a$$, but if he hadn’t done it now, he would be dead, and he doesn’t understand why Marcus is so angry, and the two argue about whether Marcus is angry or not.
In a flashback, Marcus is discussing his relationship with Mike with a therapist. Marcus informs Mike that he needs to go to therapy, and Mike informs him that Howard forced him to go after Mike shot some people at the airport. Mike recalls having sex with the therapist in a flashback. Marcus explains what therapy is for, Mike says he’s already dirty, and Marcus says he’s been to group therapy a few times, but Mike sees it as a cult.
Mike and Marcus make their way to the hospital. Marcus is led into the living room by the doctor and Mike, who tells him to ignore him. He tells her that he has lost a large piece of his ass, but the doctor tells him that it is only a small piece, and Mike says, “Hey, all this tension that you bring to our relationship will not be healthy in the long run,” to which Marcus responds, “in the long run.” While attending to Marcus, Mike calls his contact and informs him that there were only two bags and that he has embarrassed him in front of his people; he attempts to justify himself, but Mike gives him 24 hours to find ecstasy or go after him.
Marcus is relaxing by the pool at home when his younger sister Sydney “Syd” Burnett visits him. Mike also shows up at Marcus’s house, and when he opens it, he shows him a ring he purchased in a pregnancy store for Marcus’s ass and explains how it works. He thanks him, and Mike tells him that he saw something different in his eyes last night, and Marcus concludes that God sent Mike to test him and tells him that he cannot bring him down. Mike is surprised to see Sydney in the house and rushes over to greet her, tossing the basketball he was holding. Mike enters the garden and greets Theresa, saying, “I didn’t know there was a Hawaiian party,” before leaving, and Sydney rushes to hug and kiss Mike. Mike and Sydney are dating because Mike accompanied a witness to New York a month ago.
Mike tells Sydney to cut herself a little and leaves her to pretend they’re shaking hands, which she does “Okay, all right. I understand. Marcus hasn’t heard anything about New York.” But Mike tells him that Marcus knows about New York, and Sydney asks if he has told her that they are together, but he tells her that Marcus knows about New York and what he did there. Mike explains that Marcus is no longer happy with him; Sydney thinks Mike is exaggerating, but he insists that they give him some time to heal his buttocks. Sydney informs Mike that she and Mike like each other and attempts to tell him, but Mike stops her.
He promises to tell her when he and Marcus are alone, and Sydney agrees “Mike, please understand that he is my brother. Don’t be scared. Add the eggs “. Mike claims that he is not afraid, but believes that Marcus is suffering from a medical condition (He does not know that Marcus is transferred and they will no longer be partners).
Marcus’s dog is in the pool during lunch, and Sydney asks Mike, “So last month you were in New York, Mike,” and he awkwardly asks Marcus what he’s been up to. Mike and Sydney should have gone out together, says Theresa, and she looks at Mike and says, “Yes.” Marcus admits to his sister that he failed to inform her that Mike was in New York. Theresa tells Mike “Mike, do you know what I mean? How long is Sydney going to be in town… Is it really another week? Why don’t you take him to Miami? It would be perfectly fine.” Sydney says that would be fantastic, and Mike offers to show Sydney around the city.
Sydney claims “Yes, because I’m on vacation here. I’m staying in a fantastic hotel. The views, as well as the pool. That’s fantastic.” Marcus claims that they have a pool as well. Mike claims it’s just a pool, a large pool lined with plastic. Megan inquires of her father whether there were no good pools left when she purchased that one. Marcus states that the pool costs $3,900, and Megan inquires as to the cost of a good pool. Theresa tells him to calm down, and Mike and Marcus’s children agree that the pool is filthy. Sydney departs, saying that she has enjoyed seeing Mike and that he has enjoyed seeing her as well. Marcus takes Mike to the pool for a private conversation.
Chasing After Sydney
Another operation is launched, and Sydney’s two best friends are assigned to follow her during her DEA operation.
They wait, but her money laundering is cut short when Haitians attempt to steal it, alerting DEA agents, Johnny Tapia’s crew, and Miami Police.
This sparks a high-speed chase to kill the Haitians while also rescuing Sydney.
They can contact her, and upon arrival, Marcus criticizes her for leaving her occupation alone.
Captain Howard is enraged by the chase.
Marcus and Mike need information on the leader of the Blonde Dreads due to the Haitian’s involvement in stealing the money.
They begin by receiving information from one of Mike’s contacts.
When they arrive at the leader’s house, there is a shootout.
Mike assassinates many Haitians, and Marcus unknowingly assassinates one, leaving only the leader alive.
Marcus is strewn with white dust and debris.
They get some information from the leader about how he knows about the drop, and all of the evidence was captured on video by a video camera, which included acts of a funeral home drop and Tapia’s men.
All of this is discovered by the two at a television store; the videos also include pornography made by Haitians.
Marcus enters a room, where Mike describes his depression with heartfelt candor, and they are forced to leave when they discover their conversation was accidentally recorded on video-camera throughout the store, where an angry mother tells them, “Y’all motherfuckers need Jesus.”
Tapia does, in fact, use the Spanish Palms Mortuary, as the two discover.
Captain Howard reprimands the two for requesting a warrant on Tapia.
Armed with this information, the two decide to infiltrate Tapia’s mansion as bug exterminators.
Unfortunately for Marcus, the mansion is rat-infested.
While wires are being tapped,
Marcus is easily grossed out by the rats, especially when he witnesses the rats’ sexual intercourse.
When their cover is blown, they flee immediately.
Marcus is dissatisfied when Syd is assigned to focus on Tapia at this point.
The two discover Tapia evidence because the Ku Klux Klan meeting was linked to Tapia’s ectasey operation.
As a result, the two coerce a Ku Klux Klan member named Floyd Poteet, who was injured during the KKK shootout, into joining their operation.
Marcus, Mike, Floyd, and Syd are waiting in the docks for a shipment for the night and the next morning.
Marcus and Mike then steal a car test driven by Dan Marino with Floyd in the trunk and pursue one of Tapia’s men, armed with sufficient evidence.
The two pursue a croney into a train, forcing Marcus to hop on the train shield and shoot into the train to gain access. The croney, however, is killed during a fight with Mike. For the second time, Howard is enraged.
The van in which the croney was driven contained morgue evidence as well as autopsied bodies.
Mike and Marcus infiltrate the morgue the next time. Marcus is repulsed by the bodies, and when he tries to eat one, the body’s already-cut head falls out, revealing decayed brain matter. Marcus is so disgusted by this that he vomits. Marcus vomits again as Mike searches through the bodies, and when a kidney falls out, he vomits again.
Marcus drinks water, inadvertently ingesting two ecstasy pills in the process.
The two discover perfect evidence, including cash and ecstasy in the coffins.
When Mike arrives at Howard’s house, he discovers Marcus has consumed the ecstasy and warns him not to jeopardize the warrant. They are successful in obtaining the warrant, and when Howard discovers that Marcus has ingested ecstasy, he has Marcus shower to remove it.
The morgue is raided, and the money and drugs are taken.
They then attempt a raid on the Tapia mansion, which is foiled when Alexei, Syd’s former Russian associate, and Tapia’s Russian distributor, arrives to kill Tapia. Tapia manages to flee after he is shot dead.
The two find evidence, but Tapia calls Marcus, threatening Syd’s life and demanding that his money be delivered to him in two days. Marcus is enraged at the police department when agents reveal that they do not negotiate with drug lords. He is saddened, but Mike and a few other officers join the operation, gathering information in Tapia’s Cuban home.
Cuban militias serve as guards at the house. Some of the officers start a bombing, giving Marcus and Mike time to slaughter a large number of militias and gangbangers on their way to Syd. Tapia is hot on their tail as the trio and an agent flee. Tapia is on board when the quartet arrives at the US Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.
They all exit the car, with Mike being held at gunpoint and Marcus and Syd being held at gunpoint by Tapia’s assistant Carlos.
When Syd throws her gun, a landmine detonates and kills Carlos, and Marcus manages to kill Tapia with a skillful headshot, rescuing Mike.
Mike and Syd kiss, while Marcus is struck by lightning and informs the guards that the kiss is dangerous because of the landmines.
Marcus and Mike unwind at home in their newly built pool.
Marcus accepts Mike’s relationship with Syd and no longer doubts his partnership.
Regardless of their feelings, the pool breaks again and washes the two into the river, where they sing “Bad Boys” while floating.
Bad Boys for Life
In 2020, Mike is driving at full speed with Marcus in the passenger seat; his partner asks him to slow down slightly, but when Marcus receives a call telling him that there are only 4 minutes left, he orders him to accelerate. Other officers in motorboats, cars and a police helicopter discuss Mike and Marcus’ car’s location. Marcus feels like vomiting after several curves, and Mike threatens to kill him if he vomits in his car.
The cops pursue them, and when Mike fails to turn into the street where he should, he tells Marcus that he should have told him sooner. Then they proceed to a bus that is about to depart; Marcus warns him to stop, but Mike tells him to calm down, and he turns the car down a street that leads to the beach. They get back on the road, and Mike accelerates and drives down a street before colliding with a truck approaching from behind.
They continue to travel backward until they reach their destination. Mike and Marcus exit the car, and the latter hit the door with a fire hydrant on his way out, prompting Mike to warn him that he will have to repair it. Mike and Marcus arrive in time to witness the birth of Marcus’s first grandson, Megan’s son.
Megan lets her mother Theresa pick up the baby, and when Marcus picks it up, he and Mike notice that they have their grandfather’s eyes and ears, and Theresa and Megan tell them that the baby’s name is Marcus Miles Burnett, after their grandfather, which was the idea of Megan’s boyfriend and future husband, Reggie.
He tells them that he thought it was a nice gesture for Marcus, and that he is fine but has yet to marry Megan. She tells Mike that he should now take the baby, but Mike refuses. Marcus begins to cry, but Mike still refuses and goes outside to wait.
Tonight, the cops are throwing a birth party for Marcus’s grandson in a bar, and Captain Howard raises a glass in the hopes that Marcus’s grandson will one day follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and protect and serve the city. Mike joins in the toast, toasting his partner’s name in the hopes of scaring the bad guys for years to come.
Marcus thanks everyone and says that he and Mike have been protecting the city for 25 years, but they also protect the city, and he thanks everyone again, and they all start cheering at Marcus. During a celebration for Marcus’ grandson, the aging Marcus informs Mike that he intends to retire, much to Mike’s dismay.
When he tells Mike that he wants to spend his days watching his grandson grow up, Mike informs him that Theresa does not want him to stay all day. Marcus is adamant that we must change, but Mike refuses. When Lieutenant Rita Secada, Mike’s ex-girlfriend, comes to congratulate Marcus on his grandson, he also shows Rita pictures of the baby, and Mike, in turn, congratulates her on becoming the new head of the AMMO (Advanced Miami Metro Operations). Marcus inquires about the AMMO, to which Rita responds that it is a team of police officers trained in new tactics and investigations, as well as the meaning of the acronym.
Rita departs after congratulating Marcus once more. Mike follows her as she walks away. Marcus told his partner that he loves her and tries to persuade Mike to go out with her again, saying that she is perfect for him and that he shouldn’t spend the rest of his life alone, but Mike refuses and tells him that despite many dates, he was only in love once. Mike tells him that he will pursue criminals until he is 100 years old, but Marcus reminds him that Marcus won the race to see Marcus at the hospital. Mike, on the other hand, refuses to believe Marcus beat him in a race.
When the two leave the bar, they decide to race with a bet: if Marcus wins, he and Mike will retire, and if Mike wins, they will both remain cops, “bad boys for life.” Captain Howard approaches them, saying these “bad boys” are no longer boys, but decides to be the referee, and when he says “now,” Mike and Marcus start running, but during the race, Armando Aretas arrives riding on a motorbike.
Marcus, Rita, and the other cops go to Mike’s aid, while Captain Howard contacts the hospital for assistance. Mike is in a coma for six months, and Armando continues to assassinate other people on his hit list while Mike is recovering.
Following that, Marcus’s daughter Megan marries her boyfriend Reggie in front of all of his family and friends, including Mike, who has recovered. Mike tells the other guests about his and Marcus’ attempts to scare him in Bad Boys II, and he also makes a toast explaining a saying he and Marcus say to each other in difficult times: we ride together, we die together, and they all shout “bad boys for life.”
Mike is determined to seek vengeance and asks the captain to let him investigate the case, but he refuses and tells him that the AMMO is handling the case, and when Mike mentions putting Marcus and him to investigate the case, Captain Howard informs him that he has withdrawn. Mike tries to recruit the now-retired Marcus, but he declines because, following Mike’s near-death experience, Marcus prayed to God that if Mike survives, he will never turn to violence again, causing a schism between them.
Mike is running on a treadmill at home when he notices that someone has uploaded the video of when he was shot. When Mike notices that someone has entered his house, he turns to the door with his gun, but it is only Rita. She informs him that he has been very slow, that he is losing faculties, and that he has been able to enter because he still has his house key.
As Mike takes a drink from the fridge, Rita informs him that she is unable to participate in the investigation (she knows this because Howard informed her) and that she was shot. But Mike is still unconcerned about what happened to him. Rita tells him that the AMMO was created for this type of case, that he does not want to be realistic, and she asks him if he is completely cured.
Mike insists, but she gently hits him on the chest, which still hurts Mike, and she continues to do so playfully until Mike tells her to stop. Rita insists that if she participates, she will make mistakes, but Mike tells her “Hasta el Fuego,” which she doesn’t understand. Mike tells Rita that he knows too much about him to ask her to leave. She asks him because she cares about him as a friend, and she asks him again to let the AMMO handle it, but Mike refuses and continues his investigation.
Mike goes to Manny’s butcher shop and shows Manny the video in which Armando shoots him. Then, while Manny yells, Mike hits his hand with a meat tenderizer and handcuffs him to a table “Oh, no. Man, that’s my fucking hand. The cops can’t be acting like that. What became of reading my rights? This does not have to be the case. No, you’re supposed to question me. and I’ll respond. What the hell are you doing, man?” Manny says, “My fucking hand, man,” as Mike hits his hand again with the meat tenderizer.
Mike inquires as to who manufactures the bullets used in the gun with which he was shot: “Herstal P90 Who manufactures the bullets?” Manny denies knowing anything, but Mike knows Manny knows because he has a car that costs a lot of money and it’s impossible that he bought it as a butcher, and when he’s about to hit him again, Manny stains his suit with grease.
Inadvertently, Mike asks, “Did you just stain my suit with grease?” Manny tries to apologize, but when he notices Mike becoming even more enraged and ready to hit him again, Manny, terrified, says “No, it does not. Grassie, Booker That’s his given name. Grassie, Booker That’s what he’s called, man “… Mike walks away, leaving Manny handcuffed and yelling at the table “Hello, Mike, Mike. Please remove the handcuffs from me, Mike “Mike leaves, leaving Manny handcuffed to the table, after telling him that the arms dealer’s name is Booker Grassie.
Mike reports what he has discovered to Captain Howard and he, realizing that Mike will not heed orders to stay away from the investigation, reluctantly allows him to work with the tech-driven team in charge, the Advanced Miami Metro Operations (AMMO) led by Rita, although neither of them wishes to work with the other. Rita takes Mike to the AMMO facility and explains to the group that Mike will work with them as a consultant. AMMO members are:
- Rita Secada, head of AMMO.
- Kelly, weapons expert of AMMO.
- Dorn, tech expert of AMMO.
- Rafe, member of AMMO.
They all treat Mike with respect, except for Rafe who is a bit cocky and jokes about Mike’s age.
While the team surveils Grassie at an arms deal, Mike determines that the buyers intend to kill Grassie and intervenes, but fails to save him.
Later, Mike is called by Marcus. He replies saying “Tell me, cracked”. Mike waits for him until Marcus arrives in his wife’s car. Mike climbs in saying “This is kind of pathetic. Where is your car?” and Marcus says “The girls took him to the spa.” Marcus explains to Mike that Carver Remy, an old informant, thinks the killer is after him and needs to be protected. Along the way, Mike and Marcus, who are still angry with each other, don’t talk much to each other and insist that they are okay. Mike says “If you see how you could drop your right foot a bit, okay? a Prius just passed you”, then he notices Marcus’s fanny pack and Mike mockingly asks him if he keeps his balls there. Marcus says “Neither of my two balls wants to be here listening to your stupid things”. Mike hears a baby in the back seats, turns around, and sees Marcus, Marcus’s grandson. Mike asks him, in disbelief, “Have you brought Marcusin to a murder investigation?”, Marcus says “We will leave him at the spa”. They argue over what the person who shot Mike might want from Carver and Marcus apologizes to his grandson for swearing. They arrive at the spa, park, and Marcus says to him “Take the baby inside”, Mike tells him “I happened to go in there”, Marcus tells him “Well, you won’t find out who tried to kill you. Look if I went in there, I know who’s going to kill me. to me: Theresa Burnett”, Mike still refuses to take Marcusin to his grandmother and says to Marcus: “Stop fucking. Take the baby and come in”, Marcus says “Mike. Carver is screwed, he won’t wait all day”. Seeing that he was not going to convince Marcus to leave Marcusin at the spa, Mike agrees by saying “Okay, okay”. Mike carries the baby in his chair to where Theresa is. He enters opens the door of the room where Theresa is and tries to leave Marcusin without her seeing him, but Theresa notices and says “Ahh ahh. No. Mike. Mike”, Mike runs away and Theresa, angry, says “Tell Marcus I’m going to kill him”.
The couple arrives at Carver. As he gets out of the car, Mike says to him, “You know, a big part of fighting crime is getting ahead of the criminals. You don’t have to stop for the pigeons, jump at them. They will fly away.” Mike and Marcus start walking looking for Carver but it’s too late to save him late because Armando dumps his body in Theresa’s car. Hearing the noise caused by the blow, Mike, trying to contain his frustration at having taken so long to arrive, says “It better be a safe or a piano”, they turn around and see Theresa’s car wrecked. Marcus, fearing Theresa’s anger, says “It’s my wife’s car”, Mike says “And that’s the fucking Carver Remy”, Marcus says “You don’t know if it’s Carver Remy. It could be anyone”. Mike orders: “Cover the entrance and shut up” and goes to the building to look for the murderer while Marcus calls for help even though he has retired from the police.
Mike and Armando smash a building window, fall to the ground, and fight with their fists until Mike grabs him and presses his face (protected by a motorcycle helmet) against the wall. Armando frees himself by punching Mike; he attempts another punch, but the killer dodges him and knocks him to the ground. Armando grabs Mike by the neck, and he removes his helmet to reveal his face. After a brief exchange of stares, Armando puts his helmet back on, hits Mike in the face with it, and exits the fight. Mike pursues Armando as he jumps from the window balconies. The cop throws himself at his legs, stopping him, but Armando turns to face him, and the two holds on and fall to the ground. Marcus tries to stop Armando as he runs to his motorcycle, but the killer kicks him down and flees. Mike and Marcus stand there watching him walk away. A short time later, the couple returns home in Theresa’s wrecked car. “Are you comfortable?” Marcus inquires, and Mike responds, “More than you will be when Theresa sees her car.” That night, Mike thinks about the murderer and feels as if he’s seen him before.
Carver Remy, an old informant who believes the assassin is after him, had dialed his number. They travel to Carver, but not before dropping Marcusin, Marcus’s grandson, off at the spa with Theresa. Marcus orders Mike to leave the baby with Theresa when they arrive at the spa. He tries to leave him without Theresa noticing, but she notices, Mike flees, and Theresa declares, “I am going to kill Marcus.” Mike rushes out and tells Marcus to leave immediately. They discuss Theresa being as upset as Marcus was when Mike broke up with his sister Sydney and Mike being upset when Marcus threw the coffee out of his car and then Marcus realizing he hadn’t given her the baby wipes so he would be even more upset. They were more enraged than they had previously believed. When they arrive at Carver, it is too late to save him because Armando has dumped his body in Theresa’s car. Mike searches the building for the murderer, while Marcus, despite having retired from the police force, calls for assistance. Mike and Armando smash a building window, land on a terrace, and Armando flees on his motorcycle after a fistfight with Mike and kicking Marcus to the ground. When they return, they talk about what Marcus will face when Theresa sees his car.
Mike and Captain Howard are watching the captain’s daughter’s basketball game the next day. Captain Howard reveals his intention to retire as well and tries to persuade Mike that he should as well, offering him advice on how to move forward in life, but ultimately fails. When Mike and Conrad return to their vehicles, they discuss whether Mike would join Conrad’s family for pizza. Armando shoots Conrad in the neck at that precise moment. Mike attempts to keep pressure on Conrad’s neck; a woman approaches to assist Mike, and he, seeing that Armando was about to shoot her, finds himself behind the car and tells the woman to do the same; Mike then calls an ambulance, but Conrad does not survive. Later, he is laid to rest. When everyone has left, Mike tells Marcus that he was correct when he said that if he went out to get revenge, he would kill someone. Marcus comes out of retirement after the captain’s death, goes to Mike’s house, meets him on the terrace, and says “One last time.” Mike, echoing Marcus, says “One last time,” and the two bump their fists, agreeing to work together one last time and look at Miami tonight.
Mike and Marcus go to Grassie’s accountant’s house, and after a brief fight, Rita knocks him out with her taser gun, and the other members of the AMMO enter the house. Marcus reveals that the two will be working with the AMMO, which irritates Mike. They track down the accountant at the AMMO facilities, which leads them to Lorenzo “Zway-Lo” Rodrguez. They discover that today is his birthday, and they infiltrate the party that night.
They go incognito, Mike looks at Rita in her gown, Marcus tells his friend he has a crush on her, and Mike tells him to leave him alone. Rafe, please let them in. Kelly, disguised as a waitress, meets Zway-Lo at the party, and Rita warns her not to lose sight of him. Marcus discusses his marriage with Mike, who informs him that the AMMO members can hear him, which Rita confirms. Kelly and Rita are in position, and Mike and Marcus are as well. A man begins flirting with Rita, which irritates Mike, but he quickly leaves. Everyone in the building celebrates Zway-birthday Lo’s until Mike, Marcus, and Rita reveal themselves to be cops and Zway-Lo flees.
Mike and Marcus chase him in a car until Mike shoots him and knocks him out in Overtown. The AMMO arrives, but Zway-thugs Lo’s arrive and shoots them in the car. Zway-Lo refuses to answer Mike’s question about who wants to kill him. The AMMO arrives and dispatches the thugs, but Zway-Lo flees on a motorcycle, and Mike and Marcus pursue him on a motorcycle with a sidecar. Mike orders Marcus to throw a grenade at the remaining thugs, and Marcus begins shooting Zway-Lo with the sidecar’s turret. When the thugs apprehend them, Mike shoots them all while Marcus continues to shoot Zway-Lo.
He transports them to a bridge, where Armando appears in a helicopter and shoots them. Mike separates himself from Marcus by severing the connection between the motorcycle and the sidecar. Armando lowers a ladder for Zway-Lo, who grabs a hold of it. Mike collides with a truck, but recovers and leaps to grab the ladder. Zway-Lo is ordered to step aside by Armando, but he is killed when he blocks Armando’s ability to shoot Mike. Armando tells Mike, “Hasta el Fuego,” as he lines up a shot, which surprises him. Marcus, on the other hand, stops Armando with gunfire, allowing Mike to flee by jumping into the river.
That night, everyone goes to the Zillion club in disguise. Mike and Marcus arrive, and Mike stares at Rita, who smiles and walks into the club. Marcus also looked at her, then turned to Mike and told him he was in love, to which Mike replied, “Leave me alone and don’t say bullshit.” Mike walks up to the front door and asks the girls who let the guests in: “Hello, ladies. Is Georgio here?” They have no idea what he’s talking about and direct him to the back of the line. Rafe appears and greets the two girls, Nicole and Paige; the three embrace and Rafe introduces them to Mike and Marcus: “Uncle Michael is here, and his friend, Uncle Marcus, is there. Do you mind if I ask? So, what happened? He recently divorced “.
The girls are sympathetic to their plight and allow them to pass. Mike walks in and says, “This can’t be real,” to which Marcus responds, “It is.” Mike, Marcus, and Rita walk into the club and see a big party going on: the Black Eyed Peas “beat” is playing and everyone is dancing. Rita inquires of Kelly “Kelly, what is the target’s location?” Kelly asks through her earpiece. “The second floor.” The VIP section. I’m taking a look at it “.. Kelly, dressed as a waitress, encounters Zway-Lo, who places the glass on Kelly’s tray and takes another with beer. Dorn has Zway-Lo on his team, and Dorn says “Target confirmed” through the collar around his neck.
Kelly gives a wink and walks away. Dorn informs the other cops: “There is an entrance and an exit on the second floor. We’ve got him cornered”, Kelly tells them that Zway-bodyguard Lo’s has a gun, and Rita tells her, “We’re sticking to the plan.” Kelly is in charge of Zway-bodyguard,” Lo’s she responds “.. Marcus discusses their marriage with Mike, who informs him that the AMMO members can hear him, but Marcus denies this “There is far too much noise.
They are deafeningly deafening “and he continues to explain it to Mike, pointing to the headphones they wear in his ear, and Rita confirms that they can hear him. Marcus, laughing, says it was just a joke because of his blunder. Mike, Marcus, and Rafe are also in position, as are Kelly and Rita. At that point, a man approaches Rita and flirts with her, saying “That dress is stunning. “I don’t know how it looks,” Rita says, “but thank you.” Wait. Wait. “I couldn’t have come with my friends,” he says. “They can come too,” Rita says “.. Mike, enraged at that man’s flirtation with Rita, tells the lieutenant, “Give him a kick in the balls and let’s move on.”
Mike says goodbye to Rita and the man “That dress you’re wearing isn’t camouflage. You should have worn something incognito “.. Rafe, in his position, begins to liven up the party by yelling “We have a special visitor in the house today! It’s your special day! Let us all wish you a very happy birthday! “Three two one,” everyone exclaims, “Happy birthday!” and Rafe exclaims, “We love you, Zway-Lo!” “. Everyone applauds as Kelly and the real waitresses hand out bottles with bandages tied to the handles, which Mike takes for himself and one for Marcus. The two yell and raise their arms as they follow Kelly and the waitresses until they reach Zway-Lo.
The couple places their bottles on the table and claps on both sides of Zway-Lo. As they dance with Zway-Lo, Marcus tells him, “You’re going to jail, motherfucker,” and Mike tells him, “I say “criminal,” you say “jail.” Mike and Marcus both agree: “Kelly flirts with Zway-bodyguard, Lo steals his gun, aims the bodyguard, and she and Mike and Marcus are discovered yelling, “Miami Police! Miami Police!” Freeze!”. When Zway-Lo realizes Mike, Marcus, and Kelly are real cops, he runs, jumps from the second floor to a nightclub tower that falls to the ground due to Zway-weight, Lo’s, and flees. Mike and Marcus take a look around and say “Shit,” Marcus says, “I told you he was an athlete,” Mike says, “We have to jump,” Marcus says he won’t, and Mike says, “He runs away, pussy!” Now is the time to jump!” Mike leaps to his feet, grabs a cloth, lowers it to the floor, and chases Zway-Lo out of the bar.
Mike forcibly pulls a man out of his car and says “This is something I require. I require it. Please excuse me. Please excuse me. The police force’s operations “. When Mike sees Marcus, he whistles at him from the car, his partner comes in and says, “You’re stupid,” Mike yells, “I don’t get any advantage jumping from that fucking balcony if you go down the stairs,” Marcus complains, “I told you I didn’t jump,” and Mike puts the car in matcha and they chase Zway-Lo. Dorn directs them to their destination. Marcus fastens his seatbelt as Mike makes a sharp left turn. Mike inquires “Are you wearing your belt now? Is that what you’re wearing? “Marcus responds in the affirmative. Marcus notices Zway-Lo on his way to Overtown and begs his partner, “Mike, please. Please, no Overtown.
There are people from Zway present. Dreadful people,” Mike responds, “We are more crappy,” and makes a sharp right turn. Mike pulls out a gun loaded with non-lethal bullets and complains, saying “You’re a fucking rubber bullet pistol jerk. We shoot balls while they shoot lead.” Marcus inquires, “Could you please pause for a moment, Mike? “I need to tell you something,” Mike says to Marcus, turning to ask, “Stop?” Do you want to come to a halt? Please wait a moment. Let’s see if Zway-Lo also comes to a halt “whistling at the criminal and yelling” Zway-Lo, Marcus needs to come to a halt for a moment. Can we take a breather? “.. Marcus tells Mike that he made a promise to God, and Mike inquires, “What the hell are you talking about?” and his partner tells him that he promised God that if Mike survives, he will not bring more violence, but Mike responds, “He knew perfectly well that you were lying.” We specialize in violence “, Mike, and Marcus arrive in the Overtown parking lot in pursuit of Zway-motorcycle. Lo’s Marcus informs him: “But it’s about your soul, and our job is to protect and serve,”
Mike says. I’m going to bastard a service “and shoots him in the head with the rubber bullet pistol, knocking him unconscious and causing the bike to derail. Mike and Marcus pull over to the side of the road and approach the unconscious Zway-Lo, noticing a squishy lump on his head from the bullet’s impact. Mike scoffs and says “This guy reminds me of the fucking elephant man. As you can see, “Despite Mike’s objections, Marcus touches him. Marcus comments on it after touching it “This is disgusting, Mike,” Mike says, “Cut your hands,” and searches Zway-Lo for his cell phone, which he places in his pocket while Marcus tries to touch the package again, but they both hear noises and Mike says, “Overtown is waking up.” Let’s get started “.. Mike and Marcus drive Zway-Lo to their car and call AMMO; Dorn tells them, “We’re coming to Overtown,” and Rita tells Dorn, Rafe, and Kelly, “Gear up,” and they all prepare.
When Mike, Marcus, and Zway-Lo are in the car, Zway-henchmen Lo’s arrive on motorcycles. Mike starts the car and attempts to flee, but the gangsters shoot the wheels and surround the car without getting off their motorcycles and shooting them. Mike tells them, “We have your man,” and threatens to kill him, but the criminals smash the car windows, and Mike says, “Wake up Zway-Lo,” and Marcus plays him nonstop until Zway-Lo wakes up and calls Marcus “Cocoon,” recognizing him as “Coach Burnett.” Marcus hurts Zway-Lo with the lump and asks, “You still think I’m an asshole?” Mike asks, “Zway-Lo, who wants to kill me?” and he says, “Better say who doesn’t want to kill you” and orders the gangsters to kill both of them, including him if necessary, and the motorcyclists get off their bikes and prepare to shoot them, but the AMMO intervenes in their truck, crushes the motorcycles, and forces the mobsters to disperse.
Marcus says, “Thank God,” but Zway-Lo takes advantage of the situation to flee. Mike, enraged, confronts Marcus and asks, “Why did you let him get away?” Rafe exits the truck through the front doors, while Dorn and Rita, who orders “Suppression fire,” exit through the trailer. Kelly exits the truck through an overhead door and drops non-lethal bombs on the mobsters. Zway-Lo flees on a motorcycle, and while the AMMO deals with the mobsters, Mike and Marcus pursue their quarry on a motorcycle with a sidecar.
Mike gets on the bike and orders Marcus to get into the sidecar, even though it is occupied by a pit bull. Marcus refuses to go up because he is afraid of the Pitbull, and Mike asks, “Would you rather he bite you or they kill you?” Marcus eventually climbs into the sidecar, and Mike drives out of the parking lot to pursue Zway-Lo. The AMMO is pursuing Mike and Marcus after failing to stop the motorcyclists.
Marcus examines the sidecar and asks, “And this?” When Mike asks, “What is it?” he notices that it’s full of guns and continues, “Here are more guns than gray on your goatee.” When one of the bikers approaches, Marcus says, “Hey, there’s a grenade,” and pulls out the grenade he discovered. Mike orders him, “Drop it, drop it!” Marcus refuses, saying, “This isn’t fucking Vietnam,” Mike removes the safety from the grenade and sarcastically says to his partner, “Keep it then,” Marcus complains, “What the hell am I going to keep?” and throws it, but one of the motorcyclists catches it and throws it at Mike and Marcus, causing them to leave the parking lot with an explosion. The couple exits the parking lot and drives through town, chasing and shooting at them. “Come on man, what else do you have there?” Mike asks, and Marcus pulls a large turret out of the sidecar and says, “Oh, what a rush.” Mike orders Marcus to “shoot now!” as the riders open fire on them.
Marcus refuses to say, “No way, Mike! I made a promise to him! a Deity! There will be no more violence.” Zway-Lo notices Mike and Marcus pursuing him and shoots them with his gun. “And who do you think sent you that gun?” Mike asks Marcus. Marcus reacts “I’m not sure!” exclaims Mike, “That’s God’s weapon!” Marcus responds, “Oh yeah?!” Mike responds, “He knew you needed it!” Marcus responds, “Well man is smart!” Mike responds, “Yes. “You are a vehicle for God’s work,” Marcus says, “and I am a vehicle,” Mike responds, “Yes. “Like David and Goliath,” Marcus says. “Yes, David with the sling,” Mike exclaims. And that’s your sling!”, Marcus exclaims, “Yeah!”, Mike exclaims, “To take down the enemies!”, Marcus exclaims, “We are the bad boys of the Bible, kid!”, Mike exclaims, “Right! Marcus asks, “Amen?” Mike exclaims, “Amen!” and Marcus exclaims, “Amen!” “and fires at the turret “Shit!” exclaims Zway-Lo. Mike asks, “Where do you have your glasses?” when he doesn’t hit. “I don’t need glasses!” Marcus declares. “Well, you won’t even hit the three!” exclaims Mike.
Zway-Lo approaches a truck carrying a car and shoots it, causing it to explode and the two vehicles to catch fire, but Mike and Marcus manage to avoid the flames. When the thugs catch up with them and shoot them, Mike switches to shooting them while Marcus shoots Zway-Lo. Mike dispatches the thugs in front of them, and Marcus shoots at the motorcycle of another who has been placed in front of them, causing it to explode. Mike avoids the fire by approaching a truck and quickly takes them out when he notices that the wheel is about to crush Marcus. Mike apologizes for his yelling “It’s all my fault. Marcus yells, “Another miss, and I’ll kill you!” “.
Zway-Lo leads Mike and Marcus to a bridge, where Armando appears in a helicopter and fires a bazooka at them. Mike severs the connection between the motorcycle and the sidecar, separating him from Marcus and the two dodgings the rocket of that explodes behind them. The sidecar continues to accelerate uncontrollably, and Armando throws a ladder, which Zway-Lo grabs. Zway-phone Lo’s rings in front of a truck, causing the driver to panic and derail the truck, which is loaded with explosive drums.
Marcus is about to collide with the truck, but Mike pulls the sidecar away from the motorcycle and jumps into the truck trailer when the motorcycle collides with him, hitting the material. Marcus collides with a construction zone, causing the sidecar to come to a halt. Mike recovers from the blow and rushes to grab the ladder when he notices the helicopter in front of him.
Armando tries to stop him by shooting the flammable materials from the truck, but Mike advances by jumping from these and clinging to the ladder before they explode. Armando leans out of the helicopter as it flies over the river and orders Zway-Lo: “Get the hell out! Get the hell out of the way, fucking! “when he prevents Armando from shooting Mike In the end, Armando kills Zway-Lo by shooting him in the head as he falls into the water, and while lining up a shot, Armando says to Mike, “Until the fire,” which takes Mike by surprise and causes him not to move or try to flee.
Marcus, on the other hand, stops Armando with shots from the sidecar turret, allowing Mike to escape by jumping into the river. Armando leans out, watches Marcus and then Mike fall into the water, and the killer screams in frustration at having missed his opportunity to kill Mike, who emerges from the water and sees the helicopter fly away.
Because of the failed operation, AMMO has been shut down. Mike returns to the AMMO and requests Dorn’s assistance with the Zway-Lo mobile, requesting that he find out who he has spoken to in the last few months. Mike notices that he has spoken with several people in Mexico and requests that he send the phrase “Hasta el Fuego” to all Mexican phone numbers. When he does this, Mike informs Dorn that he will continue on his own. Mike begins researching Isabel Aretas and discovers that she escaped from prison 9 months ago and gave birth in prison 8 months after her arrest. At that moment, a message on Zway-phone Lo’s says, “Hi Mike.” Marcus observes Mike’s departure and, after briefly encouraging Rita and the AMMO members, follows him, discovering Mike to be very sad and dejected. Mike tells Marcus in private that Armando could be his son. Mike worked as an undercover officer in the Aretas cartel before partnering with Marcus, where he met Isabel.
They fell in love and planned to flee together, using “Hasta el Fuego” as a fictitious secret catchphrase. Mike eventually stayed loyal to the cops after realizing how dangerous Isabel had become. Marcus asks, “Mike, did you fuck a married witch?” Mike looks at him, unable to believe what he has just said, and asks, “With everything I just told him and that was your conclusion?” Marcus claims “It’s not like there’s a lot to chew on. I mean, I believe you know someone… Now I see why you dress like a drug dealer “, and Mike, who is disappointed because Marcus does not seem to take it seriously, asks him, “Do you want to hear the whole story, yes or no?” Marcus apologizes and believes Mike is jumping to conclusions, but Mike gets up from the ground and tells him that Benito Aretas was unable to have children, Isabel gave birth in jail eight months after his arrest, and Armando told him that “Hasta el Fuego” he said before jumping out of the helicopter, explaining that “Isabel and I made up that phrase.” It was something we both said to each other.
It meant something along the lines of “we’ll be together until we burn.” “.. Marcus attempts to speak, but Mike cuts him off, telling him that Armando is the right age, that he is as crazy, ruthless, and daring as him, and that he is his crazy version. Marcus, on the other hand, tells him that he is the insane version of himself and tries to persuade him that he is rushing, saying: “Everything will work out in the end. “You must trust,” Mike says, still depressed. “You’re right,” the two hug and Mike says, “I’ve got to go, okay?” “Marcus and Rita are concerned as he drives away in his car.
Marcus follows Mike on a plane to Mexico, but Mike asks him to leave, saying that he is not going to let anyone else die to deal with his mistakes, but Marcus refuses to let Mike go on a suicide mission alone. On the plane, Mike tells Marcus that he is going to kill his son, Marcus tells him that this is terrible, and after Marcus refuses to stop talking and bothering Mike with questions about Armando and Isabel, Mike requests that his seat be changed.
The couple arrives in Mexico and settles in the home of a man who owes them a favor and also provides them with weapons. After a while, there is a knock on the door, and they prepare to fight, but it is the AMMO who comes in. Marcus informs Mike that Rita has called him. They were surprised to see everything they had brought, and Rita explains that it was all provided by a DEA position. Mike explains that he will be the bait, that they will meet at the Hidalgo Palace, an old hotel on the outskirts, that Isabel will want to talk to him, and that the AMMO must find Armando while they are talking. Mike requests that they allow him to finish off Armando. The cops prepare to go to the Hidalgo Palace in the house, and Rita wraps a necklace with a mini camera and microphone around Mike’s neck so they can see and hear everything Mike sees and hears.
Mike arrives at the Hidalgo Palace, followed by Rafe’s drone. Dorn claims “There are no discernible threats at this time. “I’m checking the channels inside and blocking the channels outside in case they have counter-surveillance,” Kelly says. “There’s no way I’m here alone,” Rafe says. “There will be a lot of reinforcements,” Dorn says, “and Marcus moves to the back,” and Rita says, “Marcus, we’re covering your position from the air.” “.. Marcus walks around the back of the hotel, saying “Nothing has changed. I’m getting there “. Mike enters the palace and looks around until he sees Isabel on the top floor of the ground floor.
She walks down the stairs and greets Mike, saying, “Hi Ricky, or should I say, Mike,” to which he responds, “Hi Isabel.” Isabel allows Mike to examine her and tells him, “There was a time when touching me would have melted you.” This enrages Rita, who declares, “In the end, I’ll kill her.” Mike expects Isabel to inspect him, but she doesn’t, so he asks where Armando is. She leads Mike to a table with two chairs and places him on one of them, telling him that she wanted him dead and that he survived because it made him very strong and that it is their destiny to see each other again. Isabel examines Mike’s necklace and removes it. The AMMO and Marcus lose contact and conclude that the mobsters are aware of their presence. “Now we’re alone,” Isabel says to Mike.
Mike chastises Isabel for not telling him he has a son, for not telling Armando the truth about his father, and for raising him to be a murderer, saying he would have taken care of his son, but Isabel responds that Armando is his son, who had planned to surprise him with the news of her pregnancy after they had run away together and Armando believed he was the man who ruined their lives. “Don’t do this,” Mike says, as Isabel blows out the candles on the table and someone whistles at Mike.
Mike gets up from the table and pulls out his two pistols when he notices Marcus. However, Armando follows him, demonstrating that Marcus is his hostage while pointing a gun at him and displaying Marcus’s gun. “Keep moving forward, Inspector,” Armando orders. Marcus obeys him with raised hands until he reaches the palace’s heart, and Isabel’s other men appear on the upper floors of the Hidalgo Palace.
Armando tells Mike, “Do you see what I mean? Let it go.” Seeing the situation, Mike asks Isabel what he intends to do; Isabel replies, “Until the fire,” and Marcus, terrified, tries to persuade Armando that he and Mike must talk, but Mike asks him to calm down, and Armando orders him to shut up. Marcus is adamant “No way, Mike. It’s the lack of communication that’s caused all of this to go to shit” and continues to tell Armando, “He has to tell you something. You’re not going to like it, but you have to hear it “.
An explosion occurs at that point, knocking Mike, Marcus, Armando, and Isabel to the ground. AMMO members arrive to assist, with Rafe controlling the drone with pistols to take down the men. AMMO and Isabel’s men quickly engage in a shootout. Mike tries to shoot Armando and Isabel, who are on their way to the palace upstairs. Rafe continues to shoot, but Isabel’s men destroy the drone. Isabel and Armando board a helicopter to flee. Mike hands Marcus one of his pistols, but he refuses to take it, and Mike orders him: “Put your glasses on, damn it,” Marcus warns, “don’t you know how to shoot?” What do you have in your hands? “. Mike finds himself behind the overturned table and moves it by the legs toward Marcus as two men go downstairs.
He puts on his glasses and says, “Hey, you were right about the glasses,” to which Mike responds, “I’ve been telling you not to see shit for years.” Mike shoots two men coming down the stairs while Marcus shoots a man upstairs and says “Fuck you. It’s like watching in high definition “They both move until they reach the AMMO members. Mike and Marcus shoot the glass ceiling, causing several sharp pieces to fall and stab a mobster after Rita yells “Contact at twelve o’clock!” Mike and Marcus leave the table to re-group with the AMMO.
Mike approaches Rita and says, “Hey, Isabel and the shooter have gone over the top,” to which Marcus responds, “Can you cover us?” and Mike and Rita issue directives to AMMO members: Rita informs Kelly: “Kelly, please! “Right flank!”, Kelly responds, “Got it!”, Mike says to Rafe, “Rafe, open to the left and move on!”, Rafe responds, “Right!”, Rita says to Dorn, “Dorn, follow Rafe!” and he replies yes, and Mike says to him, “Hey, big guy. I’m going to need you to inflict some pain on some people. I’ll pay for your therapy.
“OK?” Dorn responds, “I could use it.” “Seriously,” Mike responds, “I get it.” “.. Rita tells Mike “I’ll entertain you while you run up the stairs,” Rita says, and Mike joins her in saying simultaneously: “I run up the stairs,” Rita says: “Yeah,” Mike says, “Huh.” That’s fine, Lieutenant,” Rita responds, “and the same here, Inspector.” “Marcus also tells Mike that he’s in love with her again. Rita directs everyone to do their jobs, and the cops emerge from hiding to resume the shooting. Dorn shoots and injures several gangsters.
Mike shoots two gangsters and uses one as a shield against another; when Mike stops shooting, Marcus shoots him. Mike and Marcus climb the stairs while two gangsters pursue them, but Rafe destroys the stairs. With a bomb that lifts Mike and Marcus and knocks the pursuers to the ground. Rita spots other men through the cracks in the floor above and shoots them before they reach Mike and Marcus, while Kelly lunges at the last man in the room downstairs and kills him by shooting him in the chest with burning clothes.
Mike and Marcus enter the room on the upper floor where Isabel and Armando are, and he attempts to shoot them with his gun as his escape helicopter appears behind them. “Where the hell do they get so many helicopters?” Marcus wonders. Mike and Armando exchange shots, but neither hits the target. While Armando continues to fire, the helicopter pilot shoots at them, forcing Mike and Marcus to move away from the bedroom door.
Kelly is shot in the leg by a first-floor mobster downstairs, and Rita grabs her to take her to safety. Dorn has witnessed what has happened to his partner, and he also notices that the man is on a part of the building supported by an unstable pillar, so he throws himself at the pillar, breaking it and causing the man to fall to his death. The escape helicopter soars to the palace’s roof, and the pilot attempts to shoot Mike and Marcus. “Mike!” Marcus exclaims to him. “Load the pilot!” says Mike, who hasn’t heard him. “Load the rotor!” says Mike, who hasn’t heard him. Mike is the only one who shoots, and the pilot responds by shooting as well. When Marcus fails to fire, Mike turns to him and asks, “Where the hell are you aiming?!?” Marcus replies, “The pilot!” “Aim for the rotor!” Mike instructs him. If you shoot the pilot…”, but Marcus ignores him and shoots the pilot. He initially rejoices, but the helicopter crashes and breaks the roof.
Mike and Marcus huddle down to avoid being hit by the tail rotor. The helicopter crashes into the central lobby, but the AMMO members flee and the vehicle does not crush them; however, the helicopter explodes and sets fire to the lobby. Rita and Dorn’s help injured Kelly and Rafe escape from the burning building. Mike and Marcus enter the room where Isabel and Armando were despite the explosion and fire. Isabel leaves the terrace from which she planned to escape in the helicopter, and Mike orders her, “On your knees, Isabel, and to the ground,” but Armando, who is on the floor below, grabs Mike’s leg and causes it to fall to the floor below because the ground is unstable.
Mike grabs Armando’s gun and punches him, while Marcus fights Isabel and defeats her by hitting her and crashing her into a wall, even though she stabs him several times and cuts him several times with a piece of broken glass. Armando tries to hit Mike, but he dodges him, grabs his arm, gives him a header, and tries to throw him to the ground, but Armando grabs Mike’s arms and throws him to the ground with his legs. Armando pounces on Mike, preventing him from shooting him by blocking his body with his legs and holding his arm. Mike tries to shoot him, but he hits a broken mirror, and Armando orders him to drop the gun.
The fire rises, and Armando grabs Mike’s head, attempting to burn him with the fire, and finally hitting him in the face, but Mike dodges his punch, and Armando burns his hand. As a result, Mike frees himself from Armando and tries to strangle him to death with his arms, but Mike sees the two of them in the mirror that he has shot before and realizes he can’t do it. The detective releases his grip on his son’s neck and rises from the ground. Armando stands up and prepares to continue the fight, but Mike tries to convince him otherwise: “Armando… you are my son.” You are my child. “I don’t want to get into a fight.” Isabel awakens, and Armando, who does not believe Mike, kicks and knocks him down. Mike stands up, but Armando hits him until he bleeds and knocks him down. Marcus appears to assist Mike, but he shakes his head and tells him not to interfere. “Don’t get up,” Armando orders Mike, but he does, and his son tells him, “I said don’t get up.” Mike refuses to fight or defend himself, instead of explaining the truth: “I didn’t know. If I’d known…” but Armando cuts him off by hitting him and knocking him to the ground. Marcus, who is hurt, attempts to defend Mike, but Armando grabs him and throws him to the ground. Marcus asks his partner, “Mike, what are you doing?” and Mike responds, “I try to penetrate his soul with my heart.” Marcus tries to tell him that it will not work, but Armando pulls Marcus away from Mike and grabs his father, drags him out of the room, and orders him to tell him who he is. Mike responds, “I already told you,” but Armando refuses to believe it and cajoles him. Armando lets go of Mike, kicks a section of the fence down, and threatens to throw Mike into the fire in the hallway. “Last chance,” he says to his father. “Who are you?” Mike asks, pointing to Isabel, “Ask your mother.”
Armando turns to his mother and demands the truth, asking, “Is he, my father?!?” Isabel confirms Mike is his father but orders him to kill him. Realizing that the task for which she had spent her entire life training was a lie, Armando refuses to kill her father and tries to protect him when Isabel tries to kill him herself, causing Isabel to inadvertently shoot Armando in the chest while pointing at Mike.
Enraged, she attempts to kill Mike, but Rita intervenes and shoots Isabel, sending her into the flames. Marcus and Rita yell at Mike to get them out of there as Mike places Armando on the ground and calms him down. Marcus nearly falls into the flames as a result of an explosion; Mike holds him, but his hand slips and he is unable to reach Marcus. “Mike!” yells Rita. I can’t reach you!” Marcus attempts to flee, but Armando grabs his arm next to Mike.
For a brief moment, father and son exchanged glances before Marcus reminds them that they must save him; they lower him to the floor, and Rita yells at them, “We have to get out of here!” Mike and Marcus drag Armando out of the burning palace by the arms, while his father yells, “Gunshot wound to the chest.” “We require the services of a physician!” Mike, Marcus, and Rita use paper to compress Armando’s wound. “Easy,” Mike tells his son. I can’t promise you that everything will be fine… after everything you’ve done, but… if I can promise you that I’ll be there, okay?”, he nods, and Marcus says to Armando: Hey. Marcus, I’m your uncle. But we’ll talk about that later,” the officers say as they tend to Armando’s wound.
As Marcus moves around the back of the hotel, the other AMMO members comment that Isabel cannot be alone. Mike walks in and meets Isabel; the two are inspected, and Mike asks Isabel where Armando is; she sits him on a chair and tells him that she wanted him dead and survived and that it is their destiny to meet again. Isabel takes Mike’s necklace, and Marcus and the AMMO lose contact, concluding that they are aware of their presence. Mike chastises Isabel for not telling him he had a son, for not telling Armando the truth about his father, and for raising him to be a murderer, saying he would have taken care of his son, but Isabel responds that Armando is his son, that he planned to surprise him with the news of her pregnancy after they ran away together, and Armando believed he was the man who ruined their lives.
At that moment, Armando appears, and Mike rises with his two pistols, but his son is holding Marcus hostage, and other Isabel’s men are revealed on the upper floors of the Hidalgo Palace. When Mike notices the situation, he asks Isabel what he intends to do; Isabel responds, “Hasta el Fuego,” and a terrified Marcus tries to persuade Armando that he and Mike must talk, but Mike asks him to calm down, and Armando orders him to be quiet. At that point, an explosion occurs, and members of the AMMO rush in to assist, with Dorn commanding a drone armed with pistols to finish off the men. Isabel and Armando attempt to flee in a helicopter while their men successfully destroy the drone. AMMO and Isabel’s men quickly engage in a shootout.
Mike and Rita instruct the AMMO members to take care of Isabel’s men, while Mike and Marcus climb to the top of the palace to prevent Isabel and Armando from escaping in the helicopter. Isabel’s assistance When Armando and the pilot reach the top, they attempt but fail to shoot Mike and Marcus. Marcus shoots the helicopter pilot despite Mike’s instructions to shoot the helicopter rotor, causing the helicopter to crash into the central lobby and start a fire. Despite the explosion and fire, Mike and Marcus locate Isabel, but Armando, who was on the floor below, grabs Mike’s leg and the two engage in a violent fistfight, while Marcus fights Isabel and, even though she stabs him several times and cuts him several times with a piece of broken glass, Marcus defeats her by hitting her and slamming her against a wall.
Armando attempts to burn Mike in the face, but when the first tries to punch him, Mike dodges and Armando burns his hand. Mike tries to strangle him but is unable to do so after seeing the two of them in a mirror. He lets go of him and tries to explain to Armando that he is his son; he beats him, but Mike refuses to fight or defend himself, instead of continuing to explain the truth to him. Finally, Armando grabs Mike and orders him to reveal his identity, but Mike tells him to ask his mother.
Armando presses his mother for the truth, and Isabel confirms to him that Mike is his father while still ordering him to kill him. Marcus and Rita tell Mike that they should leave after Mike places Armando on the ground and calms him down. Marcus nearly falls into the flames due to an explosion, but Mike grabs him and Armando assists them just as Mike’s hand slips.
Marcus is brought up by his father and son, and the three of them, along with Rita, flee the burning building, where Mike says they need a medic to treat Armando’s wound.
Mike tells Armando that he will have to pay for his crimes while pressing the wound, but Mike promises that he will be there for him.
Later, Rita is promoted to police Captain, and Mike brings a cake to a party to celebrate her promotion and asks to speak privately with Marcus.
He thanks him for everything and tells him that if he wants to retire, he will not stop him and will support him, but Marcus refuses and reminds him that they promised to be “Bad boys for life.”
At that moment, Theresa appears with Marcus, and Mike gives them a three-day spa voucher, promising to look after the baby while his parents are on their honeymoon.
AMMO is revealed to be in the hands of Mike and Marcus.
Finally, Rita, the AMMO, and Theresa depart, leaving Mike and Marcus to care for Marcus.
To make him stop crying, the couple sings “Bad Boys” to him.
Mike pays a visit to a repentant Armando in prison, offering him the opportunity to earn some redemption, which he accepts.
