Who is Eva Vlaardingerbroek?
Eva Vlaardingerbroek is a Dutch political commentator, host, and former member of the Forum for Democracy party. Eva is a journalist as well as a politician from the Netherlands. She is currently employed at Maes Law on Fundamental Rights and Litigation as a Legal counsel.
Eva Vlaardingerbroek studied law at the University of Utrecht and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she enrolled at Leiden University to pursue a master’s degree in philosophy of law. She received honors for her master’s thesis on “the contractualization of sex in the metoo era.”
She worked for the party Forum for Democracy in the European Parliament in Brussels for six months after graduating. She left Brussels in early 2020 to work as a researcher in Leiden. She left her position at the university and her work on her doctoral dissertation in October 2020 to focus solely on politics.
Vlaardingerbroek joined the Forum for Democracy in 2016. She delivered a critical speech on feminism at one of the party’s congresses in 2019. On October 31, 2020, party leader Thierry Baudet announced that Vlaardingerbroek had been placed fifth on the party’s candidate list for the Dutch parliamentary elections.
On November 26, 2020, Vlaardingerbroek declared her support for the FvD’s party board in the ongoing conflict between the board and Baudet. Later that day, she announced that she had resigned from the party and would no longer be a candidate.
Vlaardingerbroek has written opinion pieces for newspapers such as the Dutch weekly Elsevier Weekblad.
Eva Vlaardingerbroek relocated to Sweden in early 2021. She began hosting the program “Let’s talk about it” on the Sweden Democrats’ YouTube channel Riks at the end of March of the same year.
Vlaardingerbroek appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight in June 2021 to discuss the rise in crime in Sweden, which data has shown is linked to mass migration.
Vlaardingerbroek hasn’t said much about her parents or family history. As a result, there is little information available about her childhood and early life. Eva is said to have attended Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. She earned an LLB with a concentration in immigration law and human rights there. Eva also earned a master’s degree in law (LLM) from Leiden University in 2019. In addition, Vlaardingerbroek appears to be shorter than her peers.
