Who is DK Metcalf? DK Metcalf (DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf) is a professional American Football athlete. He is a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He used to play college football at Ole Miss and he is the son of former NFL escort Terrence Metcalf.

Metcalf was born on December 14, 1997 and raised in Oxford, Mississippi, where he played football at both Oxford High School and the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss. She played for Ole Miss for three seasons before declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft, where she played was selected by the Seahawks in the second round.

Metcalf’s father, Terrence, was an offensive lineman in the NFL.

After ESPN announcer Joe Tessitore mistakenly called him “Decaf Metcalf”, Metcalf partnered with Volcanica Coffee. As of December 2019, 16-ounce coffee bags labeled “Decaf Metcalf” began to be sold on the company’s website. Some of the profits from coffee sales will be donated to the Prison Fellowship, an organization with which Metcalf has a long-standing relationship. Metcalf is a Christian.

Metcalf was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round with the 64th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the ninth of 28 open catchers. On May 22, 2019, Metcalf signed a four-year contract with the Seahawks worth $4.6 million.

Metcalf played his first regular-season game on September 8, 2019 against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he made four receptions for 89 yards receiving when the Seahawks won 21–20. This set a franchise record for total yards per reception of a player making his NFL debut, overshadowing former Steve Largent Hall of Fame record of 86 yards.

He set an NFL record for the most yards received by a rookie in a playoff game in the wildcard round against the Philadelphia Eagles, where he made seven receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks’ 17–9 victory.
