Who is Bonnie Lysyk? Bonnie Lysyk, a Winnipeg native, is the Auditor General of Ontario who has served since September 3, 2013. She is also a former Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan and Deputy Auditor General as well as Chief Operating Officer of Manitoba. Currently a member of the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors, she has had important contribution in many professional and volunteer not-for-profit organizations.

On September 3, 2013 Bonnie Lysyk became the 13th Auditor General of Ontario replacing Jim McCarter.
Lysyk has had an extensive leadership experience in both private and public sectors during her 25-year career spent in three provinces. She has considerable audit, finance, risk management and governance experience.
She has been the Deputy Auditor General and Chief Operating Officer for the Office of the Auditor General of Manitoba and her most recent position is the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan. Additionally, she held a number of senior roles at Manitoba Hydro including the Chief Audit Executive of the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission. As a Certified Internal Auditor, she has taught auditing courses in Toronto and overseas. Moreover, she was named a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2017.
Lysyk attended the University of Manitoba and obtained a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (Honours) degree. Afterwards she acquired her designation as a Chartered Accountant while working with PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Coopers & Lybrand). In addition, Lysyk has a Masters in Business Administration degree.
